The Cockburn Family

NEW FOR CHRISTMAS 2004!

We now have a dog. Click here for details.

Introductory remarks from The Lord of the Rings, which can be safely ignored:

When King Théoden, entering the ruins of Isengard, asked Merry about the origins of pipeweed, Merry embarked on an explanation which he perhaps expected the King to find fascinating, but he didn't get far...
"'You do not know your danger, Théoden,' interrupted Gandalf. 'These hobbits will sit on the edge of ruin and discuss the pleasures of the table, or the small doings of their fathers, grandfathers and great-grandfathers, and remote cousins to the ninth degree, if you encourage them with undue patience.'"

I don't wish to make the mistake of boring you. The details of our family life are no doubt tedious in the extreme to anyone except ourselves. However, I feel it my duty to make available at least some information for anyone who is really desperate to know.

If you are curious about the fruits of Sue's labours on a Thursday afternoon try her Calligraphy page.

If you are prepared to hear Paul vent his frustrations and attempt to claim precedence in various trivial matters, go to the We Were First page.

If you really want to know more about the comings and goings of the family over the last decade or so, you can trawl through the old Christmas letters.
